World Oceans Day

Come and join our beach clean up to celebrate World Oceans Day on 8th June. Killiney Bay Community Council (KBCC) would like to raise awareness of the vital importance of our oceans and the role they play in sustaining a healthy planet. A global celebration, it looks to bring people and organisations together across the world to celebrate and honour our ocean.
This year KBCC will reflect on the ocean’s role in people’s well-being through interactions with blue spaces that are sustainably managed.
16.30 Meeting at the Blue Flag (beside lifeguards hut)
16.35 – 17.30 Beach Clean up
17.30 – 18.00 ‘Tea by the Sea’
