Killiney Bay Community Council (KBCC) would like to raise awareness of the vital importance of our oceans and the role they play in sustaining a healthy planet. SUMMARY:Ballybrack Village gets a spring clean: 24 April 2021
DESCRIPTION:A very welcome bunch of volunteers took the streets and laneways of Ballybrack Village and surrounds on a very sunny 24 April 2021 to carry out a well-needed clean-up\, supporting the National Spring Clean run by An Taisce. We met numerous passers-by who offered encouragement and support for our efforts\, which is always nice to receive. \nThanks to everyone who took part in their ‘household bubbles’ and a shout out to The Igo Inn for serving up a well-deserved coffee afterwards. We appreciate your support. \nA few photos to give a flavour of the result! \n     \n      \n \n  \nStayed tuned for upcoming clean-up dates. DESCRIPTION:First Killiney Beach clean-up of 2021\nThe first beach clean-up for this year took place on 17 April 2021\, kicking off from the Lifeguard Hut at 11.ooam. Thanks to all our enthusiastic volunteers who joined\, keeping to their ‘household bubbles’. \nSee some photos below. \n   \n \nWe welcome all volunteers to help remove litter at every opportunity. In the current restrictions\, we ask beach-goers to remove even small amounts each time you visit the beach. A 2-minute beach clean by many of us can make a big difference.
